Real-Time Product Visualization

RetailVerse

Interactive, web-ready 3D product experiences built from manufacturing CAD data and refined for visual quality, performance, animation, and production delivery.

Project Overview

RetailVerse is LG Electronics’ immersive product visualization platform for online and in-store retail experiences. It presents detailed, interactive appliance models that allow customers to explore product exteriors, interiors, moving components, feature animations, and product dimensions in real time.

The production challenge was to preserve the accuracy and visual quality of manufacturing-based product data while creating lightweight assets suitable for responsive web delivery and consistent presentation across products.

My Role

As a Senior 3D Technical Artist, I worked across the CAD-to-real-time asset pipeline, with a focus on material refinement, animation integration, GLB/glTF delivery, optimization, technical troubleshooting, and final production quality.

I also worked across design, engineering, platform, and content-production teams to resolve asset issues and help maintain consistent standards across a growing product library.

Key Contributions

  • Prepared and refined CAD-derived appliance assets for real-time web presentation.
  • Improved physically based materials and product appearance in Blender for consistent display in web viewers.
  • Integrated product animations and interactive component behavior, including doors, drawers, shelves, and internal features.
  • Merged material and animation data into production GLB assets while preserving hierarchy, UVs, materials, and animation groups.
  • Optimized GLB/glTF assets for file size, runtime performance, and visual fidelity.
  • Performed production QA across geometry, materials, transparency, animation, naming, hierarchy, and final web-viewer presentation.
  • Investigated and resolved pipeline issues affecting textures, UV data, compression, and asset consistency.
  • Supported launch-scale production and ongoing asset-library expansion for LG appliance products.
Autonomous Driving Simulation

LGSVL Simulation

Large-scale real-time simulation environments and reusable assets created from LiDAR, photogrammetry, reconstruction data, and optimized Unity production workflows.

Project Overview

LGSVL Simulation was a real-time autonomous-driving simulation platform used to develop and test autonomous vehicle systems in controlled virtual environments. The platform combined detailed environments, roads, traffic elements, vehicles, sensors, and reusable assets for simulation workflows.

Environment production required a balance of geographic and visual accuracy, reliable road layouts, realistic context, and efficient real-time performance.

My Role

I created and optimized large-scale real-time environments and reusable 3D assets using LiDAR, photogrammetry, reconstruction data, reference photography, and Unity-based production workflows.

My work combined environment art, technical art, asset optimization, and collaboration with engineering and simulation teams to support realistic and dependable autonomous-driving scenarios.

Key Contributions

  • Built large-scale urban and road environments for autonomous-driving simulation.
  • Created reusable roads, buildings, vegetation, props, and supporting environmental assets.
  • Worked with LiDAR, photogrammetry, reconstructed geometry, and reference imagery to reproduce real locations.
  • Cleaned, rebuilt, and optimized geometry for reliable real-time performance.
  • Created and refined materials, textures, collision geometry, and level-of-detail assets.
  • Integrated environments and assets into Unity-based simulation workflows.
  • Balanced environmental accuracy, visual quality, and runtime performance across large scenes.
  • Collaborated with engineering and simulation teams on technical requirements and scenario support.
