Live Product Viewer
These are the actual production RetailVerse viewers — the same experience customers see on LG’s own retail product pages. LG’s platform restricts embedding on external sites, so click any product below to open its live viewer in a new tab. Once open, drag to rotate, use the ruler tool to check dimensions, or open the AR view.

Project Overview
RetailVerse is LG Electronics’ immersive product visualization platform for online and in-store retail experiences. It presents detailed, interactive appliance models that allow customers to explore product exteriors, interiors, moving components, feature animations, and product dimensions in real time.
The production challenge was to preserve the accuracy and visual quality of manufacturing-based product data while creating lightweight assets suitable for responsive web delivery and consistent presentation across products.
My Role
As a Senior 3D Technical Artist, I worked across the CAD-to-real-time asset pipeline: directing CAD-to-mesh conversion to keep pace with a growing product catalog (a step I’m also fully capable of doing myself from raw CAD), then taking each asset from VRay-authored materials into Blender, where I rebuilt materials that broke in conversion, corrected mismatched textures, built the component animation from scratch — animation authoring wasn’t something the originating HQ team could produce, so I developed it myself rather than integrating existing data — and exported production-ready, compressed GLB for web delivery.
I also worked across design, engineering, platform, and content-production teams to resolve asset issues and help maintain consistent standards across a growing product library.
Key Contributions
- Directed the CAD-to-real-time production pipeline for the product catalog — reviewing source CAD in Siemens NX, converting and cleaning up meshes across 3ds Max, Maya, and Blender, and documenting cross-software interoperability guidelines so other teams could prepare files correctly for the pipeline.
- Rebuilt materials that broke in CAD-to-mesh conversion and corrected mismatched textures, then built and maintained a master PBR material library (the “Golden Library”) as the single source of truth for consistent materials across the catalog, later partnering with engineering to help automate material application from it.
- Built product animations and interactive component behavior from scratch — including doors, drawers, shelves, and internal mechanisms — since the originating team wasn’t able to produce them.
- Exported and optimized production-ready GLB/glTF assets for file size, runtime performance, and visual fidelity, and built mobile AR support across Android and Apple devices, including material adaptations for Apple’s AR renderer.
- Drawing on hands-on mesh-structure expertise, proposed and prototyped an AI-assisted approach for automatically identifying non-visible interior geometry, which fed into the team’s mesh-optimization pipeline.
- Performed production QA across geometry, materials, animation, and final web-viewer presentation, and investigated and resolved recurring pipeline issues affecting textures, UV data, and compression.
- Supported launch-scale production and ongoing asset-library expansion for LG appliance products.
